Address book for local government units
Local self-government address book is an electronic online database that contains the most important contact information on all local self-government units in Croatia: address of the headquarters, name and surname of the mayor or head of municipality, telephone and telefax numbers, e-mail address and the official internet address if the unit in question has one.
The purpose of the address books is to offer accurate information on local self-government units to all interested users – local self-government units, state bodies, as well as the wider public. Database access is fully available and does not require registration or password entry.
Simple and intuitive search is provided by alphabetical order or by affiliation of the unit to a specific county. Address book’s search engine enables you to associate the information you already know to a specific town or district (for example you type the name of a person, and the search engine indicates a specific town or municipality). A more imaginative use of the search engine enables quick data acquisition on local self-government units, for example one can find information that seven different heads of municipalities and mayors are called Marko, that headquarters of eight local self-government units are situated in a street named after a Croatian author Vladimir Nazor, etc.
Making of the Local self-government address book was supported by the government of the Kingdom of Norway, UNDP and ILO’s Delnet Program which is part of the ILO’s International training centre. You can access the address book by clicking here.
